Who Should Attend or Who Needs to Attend:
• Evaluations are for those trying out for Triple A & Majors Level, (new or returning players), ONLY
• New players to the league -- 4th grade and above, ONLY
• Players moving up to a new age bracket: i.e. players playing at Triple A & Majors for the first time
Attendance at one of the two sessions is mandatory for anyone 4th grade and above. If they do not attend, they will play at the level they played last year. If a player wishes to attend both, their highest evaluation from the two days will be used for level placement.
Times will be as follows:
1 - 4 pm (both days)
All players will receive a number to wear on their back. They will go through a series of hitting and fielding stations while being evaluated. Parents may not enter the gym while their child is being evaluated. Please have your child wear appropriate attire (i.e. no jeans). Sneakers, no spikes, are required. Also, each player should bring their glove, helmet, and a bat, if they have one. If they don't have their own bat and/or helmet, one will be supplied.
The purpose of the evaluations is to establish playing levels and balance teams. As a reminder Willow Creek Little League will not deny any girl the opportunity to play.
Spring 2012 is just around the corner ...
To get the teams started off right, it starts with good coaches. If you are a seasoned veteran or new to fast-pitch softball and have an interest in getting started as an assistant, please submit your registration for coaching. We are anticipating close to 300 young lady athletes this spring and want to make this a fantastic year for Willow Creek Softball Little League, and we really need your help to make it a success.
Coaching not your thing? We have other areas for parents to help, like serving on the board, team parents, concessions, field prep., special events like Pitch, Hit and Run! So please submit your interest and register as a volunteer!
